Symbols, Words, and Chaos
This morning I wrote a post about uncommon mathematical symbols, including symbols for geometric (anti-) products and various kinds of database joins.
This evening I wrote a post about how many words of prose you’d have to read before seeing all of the 1000 most common words once, assuming word frequencies follow Zipf’s law (which they approximately do).
I also wrote a thread this evening on how chaos theory is and isn’t applied. It’s more a collection of cautionary tales than a set of applicable models. Here’s the thread unrolled as a single web page.
I think if you don’t have an X account you can read single posts but not threads. But anyone can read the unrolled page.
Enjoy!
